Participants can now register on line at:
http://epayment.uchicago.edu/cns.
Registration is $280 for regular participants and $130 for students prior to June 10, 2002. It increases to $310 for regular participants and $155 for students after June 1. Extra tickets for the banquet can be purchased for adult guests and children.

NOTICE!

We have noticed problems with payment by creditcards from some non-US countries.
We hope to solve this quickly. We do get the registration information correctly. So even if you have problems with the payment, if you register before June 10, you will have the benefit of the early registration fee.

Hotel registration

CNS*2002 will be held in the Congress Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, 520 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Room rates are $ 109.00 for one or two persons per room, and $20.00 for each additional person. There is a 14.9 % local hotel occupancy tax. The meeting rates are available for three days prior to and three days after the official meeting dates. All reservations must be made by June 20, 2002. Reservations must be guaranteed for arrival by a first night's deposit or a major credit card. Meeting participants should register directly with the Hotel. Reservations can be made by phone by calling 312-427-3800 extension 5025 or 1-800-635-1666. Participants must identify themselves as associated with CNS*2002 to obtain the conference rates. Alternatively, reservations can be made on-line at the hotel website or through the meeting website. Participants must indicate that they are associated with CNS*2002 in the "special needs" box in the on-line registration form to obtain the conference rates.

Neural coding workshop: how does the cortex code information ?

The Committee on Computational Neuroscience at the University of Chicago will sponsor a workshop on neural coding in the cerebral cortex on Saturday, July 20 preceding CNS*2002. There is a separate registration fee of $50 for this workshop, which will cover the cost of the coffee breaks and lunch. The program will be available early in May. You can register for the workshop through the two meeting registration websites.
